About
Welcome to the University Academic Leader (UAL), a home for experienced and aspiring academic leaders. I’m Ragini Bilolikar (pronounced – Raa – gee- nee; Below- Liquor).
I have lived and worked in the three largest multicultural democracies in the world. Life has been a marvelous enriching experience creating long-lasting human relations transcending cultures, languages, races and connecting with only one thing that matters – the Heart!
My Educational and Professional Passions
I have Masters and Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Toronto, Canada; and Bachelors and Masters in Science from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India.
I am a Shastri Indo-Canadian fellowship recipient selected to conduct research on women and teacher education in India; and University of Toronto Academic Scholarship recipient for Doctoral Studies for the highest GPA.
I have always had an entrepreneurial mindset and applied this mindset to every professional role I held with success and impressive ROI if I may say so . For example, from proposing to implementing to leading an Institutional Research Department; creating and leading multi-campus Academic Operations department by aligning multiple individual units; conceptualizing and establishing Service Level Agreements between campuses and satellite sites across 92 locations serving 100K students; creating and launching 40+ online certificate programs in 90 days.
A few years back, when my professional career took an unexpected turn, I used the opportunity to do the things that I always wanted to do such as start an educational nonprofit to serve underprivileged children across the world, establish a small business of my own. While doing these things, I enjoyed starting a Gestational Diabetes Awareness campaign, completing a Business Leadership Certificate from Cornell University, and a PMP Certification. And more importantly, spending invaluable time with my husband and my daughter and son!
As a business and social entrepreneur, I struggled with online marketing and social media. I found myself wasting more than a year in frustration, fear, and anxiety. That frustration stemmed from my lack of knowledge and tools available that could grow my small business. Finally, I empowered myself by investing high amounts of time and resources.
Over three years, I dove into the digital marketing world to develop an in-depth understanding of the most beneficial practices including social media marketing. This deep dive helped me build a solid foundation of digital and social media marketing. In this period, I opened an E-Commerce store, published an E-book, grew an Email list; and co-partnered in a Local Digital Marketing Agency (www.vanguardsynergy.com).
Now I bring my professional and entrepreneurial expertise to local and small business educational institutions and professionals to digitally market their knowledge, services, and products to intended audiences in a value-driven approach. I provide them with information, tools, services, and peace of mind in marketing their expertise digitally and through social media networks. And I enjoy volunteering and mentoring at SCORE https://foxvalley.score.org/ as a Digital Marketing Subject Matter Expert.
